Welcome to our Farm – 1 Week Experience
At Casale Polegri, a week is not simply a stay in the countryside — it is a way of stepping into the rhythm of the land and experiencing authentic Italian rural life from within. Surrounded by vineyards, olive groves, and open landscapes, the days unfold naturally between nature, food, culture, and moments of genuine connection.
During the Week at the Farm, guests are welcomed into the daily life of the estate and invited to experience the countryside as locals do. Mornings may begin with peaceful walks through the vineyards and olive groves, where the landscape tells the story of the seasons and of generations who have cared for this land. Depending on the time of year, you might witness or participate in seasonal farm activities such as grape harvest, olive picking, pruning, or even truffle hunting in the surrounding hills — moments that reveal how deeply connected local life is to the rhythm of nature.
Food plays a central role in the experience. In the kitchen, you will cook side by side with Chef Lorenzo, learning traditional techniques and recipes that come from family heritage and regional culture. Cooking classes become lively moments of sharing, where flour on your hands, the aroma of herbs, and a glass of wine create an atmosphere that is both relaxed and deeply authentic. From handmade pasta to rustic sauces, from traditional dishes to a fun and convivial pizza class, every lesson ends the best possible way — around the table, enjoying what has been prepared together.
Throughout the week, you will also explore the flavors of the region through dedicated tastings and workshops. Wine, craft beer, and extra virgin olive oil become gateways into understanding the local territory and its traditions. Visits to nearby producers — including wineries, breweries, cheese makers, olive mills, and even a chocolate factory — offer a deeper look into the craftsmanship behind some of Italy’s most beloved products. A special chocolate workshop adds another delicious dimension to the experience.
The journey goes beyond the farm itself. Guided excursions reveal the cultural richness of the region, leading you through charming historical villages and lesser-known places that preserve centuries of Italian history and heritage.
Every day ends in the most natural way: gathered around the table. Shared meals prepared with ingredients from the farm become moments of connection, where guests, hosts, and new friends come together to enjoy food, wine, and conversation. These are the moments when the spirit of Italian hospitality truly reveals itself — simple, warm, and deeply genuine. By the end of the week, guests leave with far more than photographs. They take home new culinary skills, a deeper understanding of Italian food culture, friendships built around the table, and the feeling of having lived — even if just for a short time — the authentic rhythm of life in the countryside.
